Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course which teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis.
Adult MHFA courses are for everyone aged 16 upwards. Our MHFA trainers have been through a Quality Assured Trainer Program run by MHFA England National trainers and the course is fully accredited by the Royal Society for Public Health.
By the end of this two-day course, each participant will get a Mental Health First Aider Certificate, gain skills in identifying signs and symptoms of common mental health illnesses therefore addressing the needs of the individual and guiding them to appropriate, effective support. Full attendance on both days is required for certification.
Mental Illness covers a wide range of issues and on this training, we discuss suicide, depression, OCD, Bipolar as well as a number of other mental health issues. Through group discussion and activities, we tackle the difficult questions and find the answers in a safe and conducive environment that will give you the confidence to potentially save a life.
